Tribute to Richard Pryor

I love the fact that all his shit was completely original. All modern day comedians had something to draw from but, Richard Pryor had no influences. It was all him. He was the first guy who made fun of white people. He was the first person who did the white guy voice. No one talked shit like Richard Pryor before Richard.
- Stroy Moyd

Episode 10

Evil Ways

All motivation is defined by intention. If the intention is to hurt, divide, or belittle, it’s wrong; if it’s an attempt to cope with or make sense of tragedy, it’s something different. If it’s commenting on society’s flaws, versus adding to society’s flaws, I think the audience can tell.
- Eric Andre

Episode 11

An American, a Negro; two souls, two thoughts, two unreconciled strivings; two warring ideals in one dark body, whose dogged strength alone keeps it from being torn asunder.
- W.E.B Du Bois

Episode 12

I Wanna Take You Higher

Seriously, but we don’t know about how all that stuff at stuff overtime we were kids man… all that repression, all that stuff holding you. As a child, growing up with all that guilt and we think that that’s God. We think that’s god telling us “feel guilty”! God is saying “get free”. Just confess man, understand that everybody’s going through the same stuff, same issues, it's just a bunch of repression. I’m just sayin’ life is too valuable for us to sit here in these boxes all repressed, afraid to admit what we’re really goin’ through.
- Lauryn Hill MTV Unplugged 2.0
